Naya Ujyalo Foundation- Founder 15 year old Atreya Koirala hosted a program in Kakro Bari (Banepa/ Sangha district roughly 25 km from Kathmandu.) Keeping with his vision Health for all Nepalese: Atreya distributed his first 100 packets of medicine to the villagers- old and young alike along with Naya Ujyalo’s brochure in Shandilay Mandir- Kakro Bari He gave an inspiring speech where as a student he aspires to do something meaningful for the country.

He envions a Nepal where each Nepali has access to basic medical needs. ” Where there is wellbeing, there is happiness.” He motivated the youth to start mobilizing and to explain to the older generation what the health packets were about.

His long term goal is to activate the youth to train in order to set up health posts in all villages in Nepal. Keeping it current with Covid times the health packets consisted of paracetamol, antihistamine, vitamins, ORS, sanitizers, masks and anti diarrhea and deworming medicines.

The program was received well.
